Established in 2057 BS, Sudarshan Television Network Pvt. Ltd. is one of the oldest Cable TV operators in Kathmandu, Nepal and currently owned and operating under a new administration. We have served more than 25,000 Cable TV customers during that period. With our Digital TV Headend installation in Gaushala, Kathmandu, we have developed and implemented a robust network around Kathmandu Valley. As per the directives from Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MOIC), cable TV operators has to finally switch off the analog TV signal and migrate to digital television system. Following the Government’s directives, Sudarshan Television has also migrated its TV services to digital technology by implementing its own head-end, Satellite Receiving Station with Multi LNB technology and its own Digital TV Control Room.
Focusing on guaranteed High Quality Digital TV services without interruption and problems at client’s end, we have invested a lot of time choosing the best hardware and software from globally certified headend equipment and software providers with help from our in- house team of well experienced engineers. We are the first Digital TV Operator in Nepal to use iCASTM server funded by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology of India (now MeitY) and developed in association with Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). iCASTM has received Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) certificate, certified by NIST, USA-accredited lab, and audited by Farncombe (now part of Cartesian).
We are also using our own customized Digital Cable TV Set-Top box, also known as Cable TV receiver, which is probably one of the best Set-Top box being used by Digital TV Operators in Nepal. Our Set-Top box has been designed in a way that it can be controlled, updated and modified from our Control Center without the need of on-site visit, allowing us to resolve the client issues within a very short period of time.
Sudarshan TV has been providing various genres of Channels including Nepali, News , Entertainment, Movies, Sports, Kids, Lifestyle along with different regional channels to cater everyone’s TV viewing preferences. We have also created a customized TV packages to link customers to what they enjoy most at competitive prices and includes exclusive and High Definition TV channels.
We are currently operating within Kathmandu valley and providing our services to Residential Clients, Hotels and Offices. We are continually improving and expanding our products and services, as well as gradually increasing our coverage area and planning to expand our services outside Kathmandu valley in near future.
